Crimsonblue Tree

This short tree grows up to 4 meters (13.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 137 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a narrow, straight trunk covered in very thick, knobbly, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the soft wood is dark brown.

The small handful of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of clammy, small, thin leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are crimson and sky blue.

In late summer it forms large, green, tough-shelled seeds.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
