Caramel

This giant caudiciform grows up to 34 feet (10.4 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is gray-green, and is covered in thousands of fine, orange, hair-like spines. The twisting, caramel trunk can grow to as much as 34 feet (10.4 meters) in diameter at the top. Its yellow-green branches are tall, rigid and upright and start growing halfway up the stem.

The large amounts of jagged-edged, finger-like leaves are found in green and green varieties. They are pliable, and do not detach easily.

It is quick growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with petals that are pastel red on the underside and pastel purple on the top grows at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 19 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight dish. It has an intense scent that smells like skunk spray.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the cream flesh is rough, and the orange sap is thin.
