Pink-Red Succulent

This average-sized caudiciform grows up to 15 feet (4.6 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is pink-red, and is covered in handfuls of rigid dark grey spines. The round, gentle orange trunk can grow to as much as 15 feet (4.6 meters) in diameter. Its black and light brown branches trail down across the ground.

The smooth-edged, circular leaves are yellow and grey. They are delicate, but easily come away when pulled.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with each petal a slightly different shade of purple grow at the top, reappearing once every 2 years. The flower head is shaped like a dish with 29 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like warm milk.

The caudiciform's skin is extremely thick, the azure flesh is waxy, and the dark blue sap is thin.
