Hazel Moss

This hazel or muted red moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In moorlands, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is small, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps, and is slightly hardy.
When mature, emerald crescent-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early summer to release dozens of spores.
