Bluebark Tree
Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)This average-sized tree grows up to 23 meters (75.5 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 611 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.
It has a branched, slanted trunk covered in knobbly, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the medium-dense wood is pine-coloured.
The sparse amount of branches are short stubs and are covered with very large amounts of clammy, large, very narrow and elongated leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are cream on the edges and blue at the center.
In early spring, it produces balls of medium-sized, beige blossoms with circular petals. They detach easily and have an overpowering scent that smells like cinnamon.
In late summer it forms tiny, blood red, shelled seeds.
The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.
Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with grassy ground between them.
It can grow in even the most barren lands.
It is suitable for creating fine, soft textiles
