Silverbell

This small tree grows up to 2 meters (6.6 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 70 years old. It is somewhat resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, slanted trunk covered in paper-thin, cracked, silver bark, and inside, the flexible wood is dark brown.

The branches are very short and slender and are covered with large amounts of crispy, miniature, wispy leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are either cyan, or light purple with bright yellow edges.

In early spring, it produces many bunches of tiny, indigo blossoms with 6 pointed petals with a bell-shaped floral cup. They are sturdy and have a strong scent that smells like lemon.

In late summer it forms small, brown, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
