Copper vine

This big vine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 140 feet (42.7 meters) and growing as high as 62 feet (18.9 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 10 months for the gold stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 8 inches (20 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The long, narrow, leathery leaves reach up to 3.0 feet (91 cm) in length. They are copper and cyan, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the vine produces hundreds of large violet flowers, and during the early autumn, after flowering, it produces lots of large seed pods.
