Copperwood

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 439 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a narrow, wonky trunk covered in smooth, white with black speckled bark, and inside, the light wood is copper-coloured.

The excessive amount of branches trail down across the ground, with hundreds of twigs covered with large amounts of miniature, aquamarine or peach needles. The needles themselves are hardy.

In late summer it produces large, red seed pods.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
