Azure Petal

Flower type: Perennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This big flower grows up to 2.9 feet (89 cm) tall. Its slate stem is thick, and the miniature, yellow leaves are wide with smooth edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

6 to 10 small flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 58 cm (22.8 inches) wide, with solid azure petals decorated with aquamarine lines and a black central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 32 curved petals. They are very delicate.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like a woman, and it has excessive amounts of pollen; it can cause severe allergic reactions. It is a self-pollinator.

It is suitable for making baskets and the like
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if it falls or if its limbs are knocked off.
