Crimson Moss

This red moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In marshes, and In rainy mountain ranges.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is overwhelmingly light.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early winter to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
