Waterleaf Tree

This large tree grows up to 62 meters (203.4 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 485 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has a wide, straight trunk covered in thick, rough, dark brown bark, and inside, the very light wood is mahogany-coloured.

The small bunches of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with large amounts of leathery, miniature, very narrow and elongated leaves with irregular edges. The leaves themselves are a shade of orange that gradient shifts to beige at the top.

In late summer it forms large, green, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots spread far and go deep underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with grassy ground between them.
