Blue Creeper

Climbing plant type: Creeper (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big creeper is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 124 feet (37.8 meters) and growing as high as 103 feet (31.4 meters). It prefers to grow on man-made objects.

It takes 2 years for the amber stems to mature, by which point they can reach a diameter of 1.3 feet (38 cm) and are hard and brittle.

The very narrow and elongated, sticky leaves reach up to 11 inches (28 cm) in length. They are drab green with beige tips, and have wavy edges.

During late spring, the creeper produces hundreds of large blue flowers.


The seeds are toxic to people but not to certain animals.
The stems are covered in large spikes.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
