Orange Pine Bush

Shrub type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big shrub grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 178 years old. It is very resistant to disease but is susceptible to destructive insect infestation.

It has dozens of very thick, curved stems covered in hard, smooth, gray bark, and the wood inside is pine-coloured.

The branches are tall, rigid and upright with thousands of twigs that and are covered with small amounts of miniature, circular, leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are brown on the edges and intense orange at the center, resistant and smooth.

In mid-summer it produces a handful of large, yellow flowers with crescent-shaped petals. They fall easily and have a strong scent that smells like skunk spray.

It is almost impossible to grow from cuttings.
It is suitable for making strong rope
The leaves are bitter, but very healthy.
