Speckled

Shrub type: Deciduous (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)

This short shrub grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 182 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has dozens of branched, straight stems covered in fine, waxy, white with black speckled bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are long and thin with dozens of twigs that and are covered with large amounts of tiny, sickle shaped, leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are brown on the edges and intense orange at the center, flexible and smooth.

It produces many tiny, azure flowers with spear shaped petals with a trumpet-shaped floral cup. They detach easily and have the faintest scent that smells like fish. In late summer it forms medium-sizedwhite seed pods.

The colour changes depends on whether the soil is acidic or alkaline.
It is suitable for creating strong, durable textiles
It is difficult to kill and will quickly regrow if cut.
