Indigo vine

This large bine is a steady-growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 445 feet (135.6 meters) and growing as high as 106 feet (32.3 meters).

It takes 2 years for the green stems to mature, by which point they often have a diameter of 1.7 feet (51 cm) and remain soft and fleshy.

The wide, fuzzy leaves reach up to 2.8 feet (84 cm) in length. They are indigo at the bottom and cyan with blue patches at the top, and have smooth edges.

During late spring, the bine produces dozens of average washed-out green flowers, and during the early winter, after flowering, it produces a handful of small seed pods.
