Azurebell

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its moss green or pale purple stems grow in bunches of 5 and are very thin with a curved tip, and the large, yellow-green leaves are needle-like with wavy edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Hundreds of giant flowers grow in drooping bunches like grapes. The flowers are 6 cm (2.4 inches) wide, with petals that are azure on the underside and olive on the top. The flower head is largely flat with 26 widely spaced round-tipped petals. They fall easily.

It has a faint scent that smells like rotten meat, and it has an average amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird, but is also visited by a variety of insects.
