Crimson Vine

This small flower grows up to 4 inches (10 cm) tall. Its red stem is very thin, and the miniature, red leaves are pleated with jagged edges. A pair of leaves grow at the base of the flower head.

Dozens of medium-sized flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 1 cm (0.4 inches) wide, with solid slate petals decorated with blood red lines and a muted purple central disk. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 19 petals. They are hardy.

It has a soft scent that smells like cotton, and it has an average amount of pollen. It is pollinated by insects , but is also visited by a small species of bird.
