Copper

This big caudiciform grows up to 103 feet (31.4 meters) tall. The finger-like stem is copper and slate, and is covered in many rigid intense yellow spines. It has a slanted, round, yellow trunk atop a thick, gnarled ball of ridged, exposed roots. The branches are thick, gnarled and yellow-green and are very short and thin.

The toothed-edged, asymmetrical leaves are violet on the edges and bronze at the center. They are hardy, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is steady-growing, taking 3 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with solid intense orange petals and a beige central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is largely flat with dozens of raised round-tipped petals. It has an overpowering scent that smells like onion.

The caudiciform's skin is thin, the peach flesh is waxy, and the red sap is thin.
