Copper

This huge shrub grows up to 14 feet (4.3 meters) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 121 years old. It is very resistant to destructive insect infestation but susceptible to disease.

It has numerous very thick, wavy stems covered in paper-thin, wrinkled, burgundy and brown bark, and the wood inside is black with white speckles.

The branches are very short, thin and wispy with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with sparse amounts of miniature, wide, leaves with wavy edges. The leaves themselves are solid grey or lime, with yellow patches, flexible and covered in fine hairs.

In late spring it produces lots of giant, copper flowers with oval-shaped shaped petals. They are sturdy and have a delicate scent that smells like alcohol.
