Sunset Moss

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In damp forests, In rainy mountain ranges, and In bogs.
It is modest-sized, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps and they spread and grow quickly, and is extremely robust; it is very difficult to kill.
When mature, emerald oval-shaped capsules grow at the end of elongated, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release dozens of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
