Red Emerald Moss

This red moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In heathlands, In bogs, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in thick clumps, and is very frail.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-autumn to release thousands of spores.
