Orange Blossom

This short flower grows up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. Its orange stem is very thick, and the small, lime green leaves are needle-like with smooth edges. Many leaves grow at the base of the stem, and more leaves grow in pairs along the length of the stem.

Around 20 small flowers grow along the length of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with purple petals on the lower layer and blue petals decorated with deep red dots on the inner layer. The central disk is brown. The flower head is made up of 41 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. They are very delicate.

It has a strong scent that smells like cinnamon, and it has lots of pollen. It is pollinated by the wind.
