Copperfern

This huge tree grows up to 142 meters (465.9 feet) tall and lives for centuries, with the oldest known specimen being around 339 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, slanted trunk covered in delicate, cracked, copper-coloured bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale yellow.

The excessive amount of branches are long and thin and are covered with large amounts of rough, huge, wide leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are peach at the bottom and vivid red with light grey lines at the top.

In late summer it forms medium-sized, white, winged seeds that spin and fall nearby.

The roots grow as a near perfect mirror of the tree above, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature trees spaced far apart, with the space between filled with undergrowth.
