Lilac Moss

This lilac moss is commonly found growing in small clumps In rainforests, and In damp forests.
It is large, growing up to 7 inches (18 cm) tall. It forms in sparse patches, and is extremely rigid.
When mature, emerald circular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release hundred of spores; it does not cause any allergic reactions.
