Caramel Daisy

This short flower grows up to 6 inches (15 cm) tall. Its red stem is thin and straight, and the tiny, gold and blood red leaves are circular with smooth edges. 5 leaves grow at the base of the stem.

Hundreds of large flowers grow in a bunch at the end of the stem. The flowers are 2 cm (0.8 inches) wide, with alternating petals of washed-out orange and caramel, with a grey central disk. The flower head is made up of dozens of petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cube. They detach easily.

It has a powerful scent that smells like coconut, and it has very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions. It is pollinated by the wind, but is also particularly attractive to butterflies.
