Magenta Succulent

This short leaf succulent grows up to 10 feet (3.0 meters) tall. The needle-like stem is aquamarine, and is covered in handfuls of fine, green, hair-like spines. The stocky leaves are solid magenta or deep red, with olive streaks. Small amounts of them grow on slender, red branches that are very short and thin. The leaves are tough, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is very fast growing, taking 5 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with muted orange petals that gradient shift to blue on the outer edge. The central disk is indigo grows at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 20 petals. It has an intensely strong scent that smells like cherry.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the bright purple flesh is rough, and the hazel sap is thin and causes vomiting if consumed.
