Yellowfruit Tree

Fruit Tree type: Coniferous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This big fruit tree grows up to 29 feet (8.8 meters) tall and lives for up to 20 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 34 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a branched, straight trunk covered in thin, cracked, yellow-brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown.

The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with small bunches of miniature, pleated leaves with ripped edges. The leaves themselves are slate with turquoise tips.

In early spring, it produces many large, olive blossoms with oblong shaped petals. They are very delicate and have no scent.

In early summer it produces small, wide fruit. The rough gold skin is peel-able and bitter and savoury, and the very soft hazel flesh is bitter and very dry. The orange seeds are large and are scattered throughout the fruit.

The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with grassy ground between them.

It comes in 10 varieties, each with a different petal colour.
It grows well in the sun and full shade.
It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
