Violetgrass

Grass type: Biennial (Stores water in its leaves)

This modest-sized, brown grass grows up to 3 feet (91.4 cm) tall. The cylindrical stalks grow in small clumps that are light and frail and they overwhelm an area rapidly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a large, violet tuft.

During the early winter, it produces very little pollen; it does not cause any allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with copious amounts of medium-sized grains.

It is suitable for use as a construction material
It absorbs an exceptionally large amount of water each day.
