Peachleaf Succulent

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This small leaf succulent grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The very thick stem is lime green, and is covered in handfuls of rigid dark grey spines. The toothed-edged, thick leaves are either peach, or deep purple with gentle red patches. Thick bunches of them grow from the base in a symmetrical pattern. The leaves are rigid, and take little effort to detach.

It is slow growing, taking 32 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with silver petals and a gentle red central disk grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a sphere made up of dozens of tightly layered, narrow petals. It has a delicate scent that smells like honeysuckle.

The leaf succulent's skin is thick, the purple flesh is rough, and the silver sap is thin.
