Magenta Tree

This small tree grows up to 5 meters (16.4 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 167 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a slender, curved trunk covered in hard, knobbly, mahogany-coloured bark, and inside, the light wood is black with white speckles.

The branches are short and thick and are covered with very large amounts of rough, small, sickle shaped leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are light brown and magenta.

In late summer it forms tiny, green, spiky-shelled seeds.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.
