Red Moss

This pink-red moss is commonly found blanketing tiny areas In moorlands, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in thin clumps, and is overwhelmingly rigid.
When mature, emerald spiral capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the early autumn to release millions of spores; it can cause severe allergic reactions.
