Limegrass

This modest-sized, moss green grass grows up to 1 foot (30.5 cm) tall. The long, tapering stalks grow in extensive patches that are prone to bending and snapping under stress and they spread and grow quickly.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, lime spikelet.

During the late summer, it produces a fair amount of pollen, and after flowering, it is left with lots of giant grains.
