Burgundy Vine

This huge vine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 3,356 feet (1,022.9 meters) and growing as high as 718 feet (218.8 meters).

It takes 11 years for the burgundy stems to mature, by which point they sometimes have a diameter of 1.1 feet (33 cm) and are smooth and waxy.

The broad, flat, covered in fine hairs leaves reach up to 1.2 feet (36 cm) in length. They are solid copper with sky blue streaks, and have irregular edges.

During late spring, the vine produces copious amounts of giant purple flowers.
