Bluebell

This large caudiciform grows up to 100 feet (30.5 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is cream and orange-yellow, and is covered in thick bunches of fine, grey, hair-like spines. The round, pastel green trunk can grow to as much as 100 feet (30.5 meters) in diameter. Its green branches are short and thin.

The smooth-edged, stiff, pointed leaves are sky blue on the edges and purple at the center. They are sturdy and flexible, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is very slow growing, taking 17 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, a single flower with white petals and a purple central disk grows at the top, reappearing after 9 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is made up of 51 petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight cup. It has an overpowering scent that smells like roses.

The caudiciform's skin is thick, the blood red flesh is smooth, and the cyan sap is thin.
