Magenta

Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This colossal fruit tree grows up to 47 feet (14.3 meters) tall and lives for up to 25 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 41 years old. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, curved trunk covered in rough, light brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is pale brown-grey.

The tangled mess of branches trail down across the ground and are covered with copious amounts of huge, fan-like leaves with serrated edges. The leaves themselves are dark brown on the edges and magenta at the center.

In early spring, it produces dozens of medium-sized, silver blossoms with asymmetrical petals. They are very delicate and have a delicate scent that smells like sweat.

In late summer it produces large, slender, 7 pointed fruit. The rubbery violet skin is delicate and edible when roasted; it is sour, and the slightly crunchy cyan flesh is bitter and very dry. The red seeds are tiny and are bunched at the top of the fruit.

The roots are shallow and grow straight down, and overall the tree is rigid and brittle.

Forests of this species feature the trees packed together densely, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.

It is suitable for creating flexible, durable textiles
