Silverwood
Tree type: Deciduous (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)This modest-sized tree grows up to 50 meters (164.1 feet) tall and lives for decades, with the oldest known specimen being around 101 years old. It is very resistant to disease and destructive insect infestation.
It has a wide, wonky trunk covered in delicate, knobbly, silver bark, and inside, the light wood is silver.
The abundance of branches are short, rigid and upright and are covered with small bunches of smooth, small, very thick leaves with tattered edges. The leaves themselves are light brown and violet.
In early spring, it produces bunches of small, pink blossoms with sickle shaped petals. They are sturdy and have an intense scent that smells like musk.
In late summer it forms tiny, olive, tough-shelled seeds.
The roots form a tightly packed ball, and overall the tree is rigid and weak, and breaks apart easily.
Forests of this species feature the trees packed together, with the space between them filled with thick undergrowth.
It is suitable for creating tough, hard-wearing textiles
