Burgundy Grass

Grass type: Biennial (Grows along the ground or other low surfaces.)

This enormous, burgundy grass grows up to 37 feet (11.3 meters) tall. The wide stalks grow in thick clumps that are flexible and they are slow to spread and grow.

When mature, the end of the stem eventually transforms into a giant, sky blue tuft.

During the mid-autumn, it produces very little pollen, but can cause allergic reactions, and after flowering, it is left with a modest amount of medium-sized grains.

It can absorb up to 20 times its own weight in water.
