Fruit Tree type: Deciduous (Stores water in the thickened base of its stem)

This huge fruit tree grows up to 57 feet (17.4 meters) tall and lives for up to 30 years, with the oldest known specimen being around 52 years old. It is very susceptible to disease and insect infestation.

It has a sturdy, straight trunk covered in hard, wrinkled, light brown bark, and inside, the flexible wood is silver.

The thick clumps of branches are very long, thin and wispy and are covered with small bunches of large, slender, pointed leaves with smooth edges. The leaves themselves are pink and magenta.

In early spring, it produces a handful of tiny, green blossoms with pleated petals. They are sturdy and have a fairly strong scent that smells like alcohol.

In early winter it produces tiny, pleated fruit. The rubbery beige skin is stretchy and sweet and bitter, and the soft purple flesh is sour and sticky. The yellow seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.

The roots are thick and spread across the surface, as well as underground, and overall the tree is sturdy, flexible, and difficult to uproot or break.

Forests of this species feature well-spaced trees, with clear space between them.

The grains are bitter, but very healthy and very salty.
It is suitable for use as a construction material
