Goldenleaf Succulent

This small leaf succulent grows up to 5 feet (1.5 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is gray, and is dotted with small lime spines. The smooth-edged, pleated leaves are found in gold and cyan varieties. Large amounts of them grow from the base in no particular order. The leaves are frail, but take little effort to detach.

It is steady-growing, taking 2 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with violet petals and a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing once every 5 years. The flower head is made up of several petals in raised layers. It has a mildly strong scent that smells like coconut.

The leaf succulent's skin is very thick, the magenta flesh is rough, and the grey sap is thin and causes upset stomachs if consumed.
