Indigo Succulent

This small caudiciform grows up to 9 feet (2.7 meters) tall. The sickle shaped stem is hazel or cyan, and is covered in sharp spines. The round, yellow trunk can grow to as much as 9 feet (2.7 meters) in diameter. Its moss green branches are short stubs.

The smooth-edged, asymmetrical leaves are generally indigo. They are strong, and are very difficult to pull away.

It is very slow growing, taking 26 years to reach maturity. Once mature, several flowers with petals that are either bold purple or grey, with a yellow center grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of up to 10 curved petals. It has a strong scent that smells like marzipan.

The caudiciform's skin is delicate, the yellow flesh is rubbery, and the violet sap is thin.
