Bronze Moss

This bronze moss is commonly found blanketing large areas In rainy mountain ranges, and In rainforests.
It is short, growing up to 2 inches (5 cm) tall. It forms in large clumps and they overwhelm an area rapidly, and is very durable.
When mature, emerald shield-shaped capsules grow at the end of long, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late autumn to release dozens of spores; it does not cause many allergic reactions.
