Climbing plant type: Bine (Grows upwards by winding itself around other objects and plants.)This colossal bine is a slow growing plant, with the largest known specimen reaching a length of 2,461 feet (750.1 meters) and growing as high as 382 feet (116.4 meters).
It takes 16 years for the copper stems to mature, by which point they can have a diameter of 1.0 foot (30 cm) and are rough and fibrous.
The circular, fuzzy leaves reach up to 3.9 feet (1.2 meters) in length. They are solid purple or amber, with lime lines, and have tattered edges.
During late spring, the bine produces thousands of average olive flowers.
