Copperflower

This large flower grows up to 3.5 feet (1.1 meters) tall. Its silver stem is wispy, and the giant, copper leaves are wide with rounded edges. Many leaves grow along the entire length of the stem.

Two giant flowers sit at the end of the stem. The flowers are 36 cm (14.2 inches) wide, with solid deep orange petals and a black central disk. The flower head is largely flat with several raised narrow petals. They detach easily.

It has an overpowering scent that smells like honeysuckle, and it has an average amount of pollen; it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by insects and is particularly attractive to butterflies.
