Emerald Triad Moss

This green moss is commonly found blanketing small areas In damp forests, On trees, and In marshes.
It is short, growing up to 1 inch (3 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches, and is extremely flimsy; it dislikes being stepped on.
When mature, emerald triangular capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the late summer to release millions of spores.
