Lilac

This small leaf succulent grows up to 11 feet (3.4 meters) tall. The pleated stem is olive, and is covered in copious amounts of fine, green, hair-like spines. The thick leaves are lilac on the edges and pink at the center. Large amounts of them grow on very thick, yellow branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are flimsy, and detach easily.

It is very slow growing, taking 27 years to reach maturity. Once mature, a handful of flowers, with petals that are hazel at the sides and purple at the center, grow at the top, reappearing every year. The flower head is shaped like a cube made up of 13 widely spaced, narrow petals. It has a weak scent that smells like bleach.

The leaf succulent's skin is thin, the cyan flesh is sticky, and the pink sap is thin.
