Turquoise Flower

This big flower grows up to 3.6 feet (1.1 meters) tall. Its emerald stems grow in bunches of 3 and are thin and straight, and the tiny, yellow leaves are long, narrow with jagged edges. The leaves grow from the base and are the same length as the stem.

3 to 7 giant flowers grow on alternate sides up the length of the stem. The flowers are 55 cm (21.7 inches) wide, with turquoise petals and a yellow center. The flower head is made up of many petals; the lower layer of petals are flat, while the upper layers form a tight sphere. They are very delicate.

It has the faintest scent that smells like wet dog, and it has excessive amounts of pollen,but it does not cause many allergic reactions. It is pollinated by a small species of bird.
