Sunburst

This orange-yellow moss is commonly found blanketing giant areas In rainforests, and In damp forests.
It is short, growing up to 3 inches (8 cm) tall. It forms in extensive patches and they spread and grow quickly, and is very frail; it burns easily in strong sunlight.
When mature, emerald heart-shaped capsules grow at the end of short, lime green sporophytes, eventually opening up during the mid-summer to release hundred of spores; it can cause allergic reactions.
