Magenta

This short leaf succulent grows up to 8 feet (2.4 meters) tall. The fan-like stem is gray-green, and is covered in sharp spines. The lumpy leaves are beige and magenta. Small amounts of them grow on thin, gray branches that trail down towards the ground. The leaves are rigid, but easily come away when pulled.

It is slow growing, taking 31 years to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with solid violet petals decorated with caramel lines and a caramel central disk grow at the top, reappearing after 3 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is an uncoordinated mess of 37 petals. It has the faintest scent that smells like fresh linen.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the silver flesh is rough, and the sky blue sap is thin.
