Caramel

Succulent type: Leaf succulent (Stores water in its leaves)

This large leaf succulent grows up to 85 feet (25.9 meters) tall. The asymmetrical stem is moss green, and is covered in brittle crimson spines. The smooth-edged, heart-shaped leaves are found in caramel and blue varieties. Large amounts of them grow from the base like blades of grass. The leaves are robust, and do not detach easily.

It is very fast growing, taking 8 months to reach maturity. Once mature, and only under the right conditions, several flowers with petals that are lilac on the edges and peach at the center grow at the top, reappearing after 8 years, but only when the conditions are right again. The flower head is shaped like a trumpet with 54 tightly layered, round-tipped petals. It has a scent whose strength depends on external factors, such as soil quality and rain frequency that smells like onion.

The leaf succulent's skin is tough, the pastel red flesh is soft, and the violet sap is thin and can cause blindness if consumed.
