Ambervine

This average-sized shrub grows up to 2 feet (61.0 cm) tall and lives for around 45 years. It is susceptible to disease and destructive insect infestation.

It has numerous flexible, straight stems covered in thick, smooth, dark green bark, and the wood inside is pale yellow.

The branches are short and thin with hundreds of twigs that and are covered with very large amounts of giant, very thick, leaves with rounded edges. The leaves themselves are light brown on the sides and amber at the center, flexible and covered in fine hairs.

In mid-spring it produces many medium-sized, pastel yellow blossoms with fan-like petals with a tube-like floral cup. They are very delicate and have a powerful scent that smells like something putrid.

In early autumn fan-like fruits ripen. The hairy silver skin is stretchy and bland, and the slightly crunchy light brown flesh is spicy and dry. The pastel green seed is tiny and sits at the top of the fruit.
